Kalivi means actually 'Old Hut or Shack' and they where used for olive picking season, before everybody had a car to ride back to Votsalakia or Marathokampos after work. That is where the name Kalivi Beach Cafe comes from as well. It is one of the oldest buildings in Votsalakia on the beach.
